Freak of Nature
May 23, 2007I was talking about the thing this curious fellow is holding.
Is it a coconut? Is it a pomelo? No, it's a BIG-ASS MANGO!
This mango was so big that we used sugpo for its alamang! This mango was so big that its tree had osteoperosis! This mango was so big…hmmm…I'm spent, sorry I ran out.
Still it was no contest for 6 hungry beasts. We finished it off in a flash like we were 2 months pregnant.
Hang on…This mango was so big that we used a power saw as peeler. (crickets…crickets…)
Don’t you just hate it…
I know you've heard this over and over again…but don't you just hate it…
…when you're in a fast food restaurant and the line is 3 miles long, and after you've ordered and finished eating there's no line anymore?
…when you're in a bank and all 132 customers before you are taking forever with their transactions and when its finally your turn your transaction only takes under a minute and you're done?
…when you're attending mass and they change the tune of the only song you're familiar with? you try to sing the words aloud and you miss every single note?
…when you're in an all alone in an enclosed space (ex. elevator) and you feel like farting? And when you do fart, somebody immediately comes along?
…(speaking of farts) when the whole room smells like a dead cow and everybody looks right at you? and you feel and look guilty? And you end up doubting if it was really you?
…(again, farts) when you're on a public toilet and no matter how hard you try to keep the fart from making a big noise, it only makes the sound more and more embarassing?
…when you're busy with both hands (ex. de-activating a time bomb) and you're nose becomes itchy?
…when you're using your nail cutter and somebody suddenly borrows it from you?
…when you need a taxi they're never there?
New Chapter
We've officially moved in. We finished unpacking the last set of boxes this weekend and we've finally put everything in place! (except for the mirror and fan which requires drilling through the wall.) Well anyways, after 2 years of looking for a better home for our baby we've finally set foot on appleton-carlmig suites. We spent a fortune renovating the place before moving in. Room divider, replaced broken tiles, repainted the damn walls, fixed the damn flooring, fixed the roach problems with a hundred gallons of insect spray, mounting of airconditioning…@!&*%#!! I'm trying to forget about these expenses, WHOOOSAAAA….Tumaas din ang rent ng 45% pero nasulit naman ng space, fresh air, at ambiance na matagal na namin hinahanap.
Still, nothing is perfect. Here's a list just to site the advantages and disadvantages.
ADVANTAGES:
1. Space. Hehe. Read on.
2. Fresh air. Windows are facing a vacant lot with a bunch of trees so air circulates like a mofo. We seldom use the electric fan even though its summer time.
3. Tipid sa kuryente as mentioned on #3, and natural light kami during day time.
4. 2 bedrooms. Now we can accomodate visiting family and friends. Dati, siksikan sila sa pagtulog na pag-gising nila magkakapalit na sila ng mukha. and/or amoy.
5. Location. Walking distance sa mga bus terminals going to Lucena. Although we're planning to buy a car (sana po sana po sana po within the year!) convenient sya for again visiting family and friends. Still in Pasay area so malapit pa rin sa office ko at mas lumapit sa office ni Trini. Last year we were offered by our Titas to move to a spacious apartment, almost the same rent, may garden pa, kaso sa C-5, so we turned them down.
5. Couldn't reiterate more about the space. "siming! siming!"
6. Meron na akong workshop for my gundams! Hehehe.
7. Facilities. There's a phone in the building we can use. Irregular na, over priced pa!
8. The word "Condo". Where do we live? sa "Condo" pare…Hehehe.
DISADVANTAGES:
1. The bigger the space, the longer the chase.
2. We sacrificed cable TV just to balance out expenses. Bye Jack TV, ETC and HBO…you are dearly missed.
3. Walang malapit na tindahan. Saan ako bibili ng beer?
4. Neighbors aren't that friendly. We miss our old neighbors. They love Lean back at the old apartment.
I lived there with my buddies for 2 years and with Trini for 3 years. I was just starting my job when we moved there at dun ako sa apartment na yun na-regular. It was there where Trini and I lived together before we got married and It was there where we had our son. I can say that I was already on my comfort zone at that apartment and now there's this little gloominess inside our new place that I wish I can explain. Siguro nga naninibago lang ako. Pero ganun talaga, change is the only thing constant. I guess we'll have to see what happens in this New Chapter…
