Races
November 26, 2007One day my idiot friends asked if we should join a marathon, and because I too am an idiot I told them "…uhm…uhuh…". They asked which category are we running at? 5k or 10k? We can run 10k right? I said "…uhm…uhuh…". I think my brain is made of fat and I lost most of it during my workouts.
Here’s a summary of what we did for almost an hour: Left foot step, Right foot step, drink water, Left foot step, Right foot step.
My legs went autopilot after 5k and believe it or not I did not stop running until we reached the finish line. Actually, it was a cannot than a did not. I cannot stop because when I do my legs start to talk because they are as arrogant as I am. “Hey, why are you stopping pussy boy? Just give us some good “rubbing” later and we’ll be alright, OK? And stop that grasping for air shit. You’ve only been running for 2 minutes and you’re making us look bad!” I shouldn’t have listened to those skinny bitches.
Please bear with me and listen to what my ego has to say: I thought that I’d collapse but later that afternoon I still went shopping with the wife! I thought that I’d run out of breath, but my lungs were in good condition! I thought that I won’t make it to the finish line, but amongst my idiot friends, Jon and I finished first! So ya, I am fit like that. Thank you for bearing with me.
In other news, the team finally woke up to their senses and included me on the competing crew. And after the race last November 11 they again woke up to their senses and realized why they included me on the competing crew! “Who the hell is this gorgeous stud muffin and why isn’t he using his twisting as practiced?!!” Golly, I didn’t expect that competition has this much pressure and tension that the whole crew forgot all about what was practiced and just paddled like crazy! Yeah yeah, we may have lost this year’s Philippine Olympic Festival but our batch fought until the semis and defeated 8 teams throughout the race. That’s something to be proud of. Right?
Happy 21st Birthday Grandpa!
November 17, 2007We celebrated the debutant's birthday at his farm at Tayabas, Quezon.
I didn't get to drink as much as I wanted to because I was babysitting Leanpot, his mom and ate Jacke was left home at manila.
Btw, Lean did a kick ass job behaving at the bus on our way to Lucena and back. All he did was talk talk talk talk and let out a small amount of baby vomit just before getting out of the bus.
