My Little Red Ranger

December 5, 2007

As you may already notice, most of the entries in this blog is about ME.  And just to make the header appropriate again (which is translated as: My little boy, or something like that) I'm taking a break from whining about my life's stupid little dramas and finally post an entry about my son.

Well, what can I say?  I love that little punk.  He is the reason why I walk this earth.  It would take me days to enumerate all the stuff that we love about him and would be impossible to describe how it makes him so special!

  • He already knows how to count both in English and Spanish, and can recite (although still bulol) the alphabet.

  • He knows different kinds of animals and knows what sound they make.

  • He recognizes places and knows if we're going to Mall of Asia, or already near our home.

  • He love’s to hear a story about the stuff we did during the day, from taking a bath in the morning until taking a nap at night!

  • He knows where timezone in Mall of Asia is.  Both of them.

  • He loves koko krunch.  He even asks me to sing it to the tune of the children’s song “lullaby”.  He also loves Milo and Sopas, which he asks me to sing as well.

  • He knows when I’m going to the office and even waves me goodbye, but if it’s a weekend and senses that I’m going out, he’ll be following me from the moment I step out of the bath, he even holds on to my one leg just to make sure I can’t escape.

  • He loves cars.  I wish I am able to buy him his own when he turns 17.

  • He’s current heroes are the Power Rangers (SPD and Mystic Force), Dora, Barney and Zaido!  He’s Zaido Blue by the way.  And Red Ranger, and he told me I’m Green.  He knows his dad too well!

  • He knows the latest TV ads and sings along with them!  “Sopas na lucky meeeee…sopas for you and meeeee!!!”

  • Even from a hundred meters away, he knows if it’s Jollibee, Mcdo, Chowking or KFC.

  • When he sees Sharon Cuneta, He says “Ice cream”.

  • He knows Pacquiao and he knows he’s a boxer.

  • He loves taking a bath and I love shampooing his little head!

  • He knows that we just borrowed the car and refers to it as “Ate Yssa’s Car”.

  • He now picks his own clothes and his favorites are his two “enchanted kingdom” shirts and his “diego” shirt.

  • He’ll only lie down in bed when the pillows are properly arranged, and he knows which one is his blanket.

  • He loves airconditioning and hardly falls asleep when it is turned off.

  • He loves to go to my office so he can see his pictures.  He also loves watching himself on videos.

  • He knows if a person is a boy or a girl.

  • He says “sorry” and knows if I am “angry” at him.  He also understands what “sorry” is for.

  • He is a liquid baby.  He seldom eats meals but he likes to drink so much liquid, like his throat’s as dry as an arab’s fart.

  • He’s already potty trained!  But we still put diapers at night so he can sleep soundly.

It would be awesome If my eyes can record and replay every moment that my little boy made me smile.  I'll miss my boy soooooo much once I leave for AU.

I’m leaving on a jet plane

I still can't believe it. It all happened so fast! Oh my oh my, I'm leaving in exactly 28 days!

There were some, well, actually the whole plan was changed. We were supposed to migrate down under altogether but we thought (the whole family and friends whom I asked) that it'd be better if I myself settle first and prepare stuff before I take the whole family of 2 with me. It makes a lot of sense really, it'll put more pressure on me if all of us will "squat" at a relative's house and eat their food, use their toilet papers, kick their dog, etc. I mean, they do understand that its part of the package for sponsoring us and although they insist that my family stay with them, I would lose my mind pleasing everybody all at once that it just won't work. My hyperacidity is kicking in just by thinking about it!

First, the wife. Trini won't stop bugging me until I get our own place. To all the married women, you know how it is right? Men can co-exist with his inlaws but its pretty much a problem for the ladies. And they call us selfish??? Ha. Women. Second, the relatives. My son Leanpot is iyakin to the max. As in, grabe, lyk u know, lyk hallerr. Only the parents can tolerate such behaviour and I don't think even the cutest kid on the planet can pull it off for my uncle. He's not known for his love of little children, especially iyakin ones. Plus, will my uncle buy my son's milk for us? I don't think so. I'd get a job putting sunblock on hot bikini models and digest its immorality eveyday I walk this planet just so I can take care of my kid. It's not pride, it's PRIDE.

I'm not taking anything away from my relatives who wholeheartedly made arrangements so they can take us to Au. They're very nice people and they're not the problem here. It's ME. I'M the problem! Its too much pressure for me pleasing them and my family while I look for a job at a very foreign country and I don't think I can function 101% with things like that at the top of my head. Sigh, I'll miss my mom's birthday, which is also new years eve, just because I am panicking. There, I said it. I'm panicking and I'd rather face the pains of job hunting all by myself than going home, which is actually a relative's home, and disappointing my wife who's dying to get our own place carrying my son who is crying my uncle's ears out. WAAAA!!!

Yeah yeah, I'm a worry wart. Call me Mr. Panic Face when u see me at the streets. This aint your blog bitch. W-why are you STARING AT ME???!! A-are you judging me??!!! You're judging me aren't you??? Go away. GO AWAAAAYYYY!!!

P.S.

I'll miss everybody. :-( wish me luck. WAAAA!!!
